OVERVIEW: If you believe you have come into any sort of contact with any strange substances that may contain Anthrax bacteria spores (may take the form of a powder, very small particles) close off the object and area of exposure, WASH YOUR HANDS OR SHOWER with soap and water to keep germs from your face. Then notify your local police (dial 911) IMMEDIATELY. If possible try to shut off any fans or air ventilation units. Also take into account any one who was near you at the time of potential exposure. Most importantly DO NOT PANIC. NOTE: Unlike a cold or flu, anthrax CANNOT be spread from one person to another person. The disease CAN be transmitted only through contact with contaminated substances. |
